Status dictionary
The following tables provide an overview of different statuses for applications, applicants, and reports (verifications). Each table defines the possible statuses for an API response and the respective status meaning.
Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
pending | The application hasn’t been started yet. |
started | The application is in progress. One or more applicants haven’t completed their application. |
submitted | The application has been submitted by all applicants and is awaiting review. |
merged | The application has been combined with another application. Applicants from this application were merged to another application |
approved_with_conditions | The application has been approved with conditions. |
approved | The application has been approved. |
rejected | The application has been declined. |
canceled | The application has been canceled. |
Status | Meaning |

started | The applicant has started their application but hasn’t completed it. |
submitted | The applicant has completed their application. |
finished | The applicant has finished all steps in the application but hasn’t checked out yet. |
pending | The applicant hasn’t started their application yet. |
canceled | The applicant’s application has been cancelled. |
Status | Meaning |

failed | The report failed to complete. |
finished | The applicant has completed the self-attested report. |
finished_by_overridden | The report was completed after being overridden. |
finished_with_warnings | The report was completed but has warnings for review. |
pending | The report has not been run yet. |
processing | The report is currently being processed. |
skipped | The report was intentionally skipped. |
started | The report is waiting for information from the applicant to be run. |
submitted | The applicant has submitted income documents and Boom is processing. |
verified | Boom completed the verified report. |
