Tenant Screening: BoomScreen

5min

Introduction

BoomScreen is a robust tenant screening solution for property managers. It enables property managers to reduce fraud, increase NOI (net operating income), and move in the best renters.

Deployment options

There are 3 deployment options available for property management software platforms and property managers to utilize the flexibility and power of BoomScreen:

(1) Partner user interface (UI)

The Partner UI is Boom's default mode of operation. With the Partner UI, property managers can log in to the Boom Partner Platform to leverage a full tenant screening solution including PMS integration, rental application, and more.

Best suited for: Property managers small and large (who have a PMS such as Rent Manager to integrate)

(2) BoomScreen APIs

Some property managers want to utilize BoomScreen but already have a tech stack including PMS (Property Management System), rental property marketing and listing syndication services, lease generation, and move-in/onboarding. For these property managers, Boom has APIs to integrate with a property manager's existing tech stack. Property managers are able to use BoomScreen APIs to programmatically generate, request reports for, and decide on applications ( "backoffice API"). Property managers can also use BoomScreen APIs paired with their own rental application to replace BoomScreen's applicant experience ("applicant API") to maintain full control over the applicant experience.

Best suited for: tech-forward property managers or proptechs who have an engineering team

(3) CRA APIs

Boom's CRA APIs are typically used if you already have existing tenant screening infrastructure (which may include an application process and processing), that you want to improve by returning more detailed consumer reports more quickly. You can call Boom CRA API to obtain consumer reports. Currently supported consumer reports include credit (report and score), criminal, and eviction reports.

Best suited for: PMS companies (e.g. Yardi, Rent Manager)
